This, dear friends, is awesome.

As part of the festivities for the 1991 Winston All-Star Race, an exhibition event known as the "Winston Legends Race" was run on a small track paved onto Charlotte's infield grass.

Featuring drivers such as Pete Hamilton, Dick Brooks, Elmo Langley, Cale Yarborough, and several others, the legends raced scaled stock cars bearing the same paint schemes they ran years before.

Like what you see here? Then you may be excited to know that an organization known as the Old School Racing Champions Tour (OSRCT) is doing it again, creating a championship format with several of the same drivers! Fittingly, their season opener will be the 2008 Sprint All-Star Challenge at Charlotte with drivers James Hylton, Geoffrey Bodine, Harry Gant, and others already signed!
